In today’s digital business world, it’s no longer enough to have just „any“ cash register. Laws are getting stricter, customers expect speed and clarity, and as an entrepreneur, you need a solution that makes your life easier – not more complicated. This is exactly where the touch cash register, also known as an electronic cash register (ERP), comes into play, working in harmony with the ePOS system.
An electronic cash register, or ERP in technical terms, is a device designed to record sales, which must comply with the requirements of the eKasa (or e-Kasa) system from 2019. This system was introduced by the Financial Administration of the Slovak Republic and requires each cash register to communicate online with its servers and send sales data in real time.
Classic „old“ cash registers are thus being replaced by more modern solutions – such as a touch cash register that combines a clear display, smart software and flexible connectivity options.
A touch cash register is a more advanced version of a classic push-button cash register, but at first glance it looks like a tablet or a small computer. However, advanced software runs inside the system, which:
✔ records sales and prints cash fiscal documents
✔ automatically sends data to the Financial Administration (eKasa)
✔ enables management of products, warehouses and customers
✔ works in the cloud (or so-called Webadmin) – so you have an overview from home or mobile, from anywhere
It often also includes peripherals such as a barcode reader, document printer, payment terminal or customer display. In the case of the Android solution Kompakt 3in1, all necessary activities work in a single device.
The operator selects items (products/services) on the touch screen.
The software sends sales data to the Financial Administration server via the client’s eKasa.
The system assigns a unique cash register code (UKP).
The cash register prints a valid fiscal document with the eKasa code for the customer.
A reliable internet connection (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, 4G/LTE) is key. In the event of an outage, the cash register operates in offline mode – the data is securely stored in a protected data storage (CHDÚ) and sent later when the connection is restored.
Using the electronic cash register in the eKasa system is mandatory for most entrepreneurs who accept cash. The most common users include:
✔ Retail stores
✔ Restaurants, cafes and bars
✔ Hairdressers, beauty salons
✔ Craftsmen and service providers
✔ Marketers and stall sales
✔ Mobile vendors (e.g. food trucks)
Carefree fulfillment of all legal obligations related to the eKasa system. Documents are automatically sent to the financial administration.
Faster customer service, fewer errors when blocking, higher satisfaction on both sides of the counter.
Instant access to statistics: best-selling items, sales by hour, employee performance. Everything clearly in real time.
Automatic inventory tracking, notifications of incoming goods, easier planning of orders and inventories.
User-friendly interface – even a part-time worker can handle it after quick training. Clear buttons, categories, table map or custom adjustments.
The system adapts to you, not the other way around. For gastro table maps and orders, for retail product variations (colors, sizes), for services quick registration.Prečo je dotyková elektronická pokladňa budúcnosťou podnikania?
